Chef At Veggie Cafe

Rating: 5.0

Praying mantis poised
you descend delicate
stairs
plates kiss wrists
in graceful coupling
with angled
air
frilled skirts of lettuce
dip, nudge and green flirt
with lasagne
feigning decorum
as you proffer
a gift of such grace.

This is so completely original. I love the flow of images - a vivid picture indeed. Strong all the way through. The praying mantis - wow. A bit of performance art, and the customers should stand and applaud. Applause, Dorothy.
