Harlan Simantel

Rookie (August 8,1951 / Hillsboro, Oregon USA)

Poem by Harlan Simantel

let me heed the child within
wanting to play thru thick and thin,
always having fun
until my work on earth is done.
simple, humble, in awe of
what You made,
always curious,
never afraid.

This is real poetry. It is short, concise, some rhyme and rhythm. The kind of thing that makes me proud to see. What sometimes, a poet, can really be.
