Childhood Tears Poem by Amy Louise Kerswell

Childhood Tears

As a child I would hide in my room.
I always had the gloom.
Going out to play would only bring doom.
But he even found me in my room.

I never told thouhg.
I was always good and kept it a 'secret'.

As a child I would cry myself to sleep at night.
I stayed in mainly out of fright.
He had the power and the might.

My childhood was made of secrets and tears.
Even to this day I still have the tears.
And still have the fears.
