Children At Play Poem by Tracey Owens

Children At Play

The children run around the playground,
Running as fast as their little hearts will allow.
They chase after one another,
Never stopping for a second to rest.
Never stopping to have worries
Catch up to them and make them see.
Their only thoughts are catching up
With their friends and enjoying
The warm weather on a Sunday afternoon.
The only goal for the moment is
To to get to the slide first.
Their only idea of a perfect
Sunday afternoon is to enjoy
What day they have left to play.
