Chrysalism Poem by Vanta Moon

Chrysalism

Silence ceased with the blow of a storm
Putting my mind a ease, hearing the rain pour.
Every drop upon the floor, every crackle, every roar,
The shadowy coat the sky wore, the ebony night that We adore.
Remembering you once more...
on this world we sought to explore...
Forever more, in galore, my love thrives, evermore
I feel you in the clouds like a drizzle commodore,
And it fills me with vigour...
when my souls trapped indoors
the aching I'll ignore...
as being caressed by your score, if I can feel you once more,
is a delight I long for.

I understand. We lost our son a year ago. Be strong and write out your grief. It helps me. Keep your feelings flowing through your words and your heart.

Too much of a good thing, Vanta. At first the repetition of the same end rhyme was pleasing, but only for about the first four, then it became a bore, and my ears got sore. When the lines stop making sense, then you know that you are forcing things and that you have gone too far. Line eight, for example. A drizzle commodore means nothing. A very good effort. Try using a variety of rhymes in your next one. Thanks for posting, and welcome to Poem Hunter!

Tremendously resplendent in throes and love. An excellent manifestation of your talent and also of your feelings residing deep within you. You have a venerable poetic exuberance that I've longed for. Keep writing, dear poet. I hope your future poems too will be as maudlin as this.
