Scented moist tropical air
Warm, clean water.
Oh, and a touch of fish oil
Makes reef and jungle
Come to you
Like an old diary in your mind
I found this giant clam shell
Over 40 years ago
On some forgotten, lost reef
Way up north
Lying in the shallow water
All bleached by the sun…
When the wind blows through it
It sings to me
A song of memories of those
Lost reefs and
Islands without footprints
And deeply fragrant
Hidden rain forests…..
