Classic - Poem by Edgardo Tugade

Freedom was a fiction
Grecians laid aside
An uncharted gemstone
Power passes by

Poets thus kill time twice
Awake and after death,
Cutting heartbeats into lyrics
Then pausing to catch their breath.
