' ' ' ' ' Clichéd Cliché Poem by Dónall Dempsey

' ' ' ' ' Clichéd Cliché

Rating: 2.7

She looked down
her turned up nose

at him
always thought

she married beneath her

her life
sold for a song

(TORNA A SORRIENTO)

Her dreams gone
to rack & ruin

all for the promise of being
Mrs. Somebody

the excitement of a wedding
ring.

Her life ending here
an old empty cliché.
