Cloaked Rendezvous Poem by Jesser Weaver

Cloaked Rendezvous

One summer afternoon.
I was sitting near the lake.
The same bench I always sit at.

Kids running.
Dads flying kites.
Couples walking.

It was a sunny.windy.wonderful day.
As I sat alone...I began to talk to God.
I asked him a few questions...

About what's my purpose on this earth....
and what I can do to please him.
As I continued speaking to him...
a ball came near my feet and a young child chased after it.

I grabbed the ball and handed it to the kid.
The kid said, 'Thanks and don't worry, he will take care of you! '
I said, 'Who and what? ! '

She came to sit next to me..
'You have a great gift.
Only You know what you're good at.
 Find it within yourself...
and you can make a Major impact on other peoples lives! ' she said.

I was stunned to hear these words out of a 3 year old.
I asked.
'Who told you to tell me this....
and do you tell this to everyone? '

'My son, its me, i know all about you...
your birthday is July 21st...
and you like Frosted Flakes! '

I was in awe.
Speechless.
My eyes and ears could not believe it.
'This message is specially for you.
Giving your gift away will please me.
Your purpose is to live life to the fullest.
You never know when I'll be calling you home.'

I gave the kid a hug.
Them i said, 'Thank you so much for visiting me! '
She randomly said....
'Hey! My fingers have nail polish! '
as she showed me her fingers.

I joked with her and said, 'Me too! '
She giggled and ran away to play.
I continued to sit there....
as the sun went down....
and thought about my special message.

Life is good.
The quality of your life....
consists of your relationship with God.
It's better to give than to receive.
Those who Only receive.....
eventually deceive.
