Cloister Poem by D.N. Rebb

Cloister

Rating: 5.0

Why cloister yourself from the world?
Seclusion isn't an answer
Mere outcries aren't readily heard
Bright future is all that matters

Don't ignore opportunity
Invite knocking on shut doors
Of welcoming communities
Certain ambiguity ignored

No one's keeping realistic score
Unfulfilled desires obsess
Time to bring the anchor ashore
Smooth sailing, undaunted confess

This neck of the woods should be shared
Leave behind your inner cloister
Wildflowers will bloom, be prepared
Genuine love will then be stirred
