Cop Poem by D.N. Rebb

Cop

Mister policeman has been taught not to be a racist
Blind hatred was the lesson on the third day he missed
His pale white skin restricts him from certain neighborhoods
Membership to the club that meets monthly in the woods

He can look you straight in the eyes and give you that smile
And will best judge your complexion without a fair trial
Discrimination is a word he's familiar with
His captain reminds him often of this modern myth

Both attended the school of insensitivity
Where they perfected to half smirk so cynically
Make sure you're not too obvious, my despiteful friend
As everything will come back to haunt you in the end

How dare you sit there and tell me your personal rights
Thinking I'd share your belief since my skin, too, is white
A contaminated heart makes a poor candidate
The world would be better off without such tainted weight

Will someone take lessons on humanity for cops? ? ? ?

Very true, I recall the death of Mr. Floyd, how cops pounced on him and killed, some said they treated him worse than they treat animals.
