Coffee Mug Today Is Mustard Yellow Glazed Clay Poem by Terence George Craddock

Coffee Mug Today Is Mustard Yellow Glazed Clay

my coffee mug today is a mustard yellow glazed clay
just now discovered on dining table sitting abandoned
I had gotten up to make a cup of Joe to sate desire to drink
it was time 11.43 am and time I thought to take a coffee hit
I must search out abandoned coffee mugs wife tells me so
I used to have 1 or 2 or 3 in house abandoned now on parole
so search I quick did to seek out an abandoned coffee cup
to earn a few good boy points even though wife is out

what use are good boy points when wife is not at home
it sows a habit to search even when sitting home alone
it is busy time best time to write when wife out left alone
what a surprise what a delight the coffee cup was filled
still filled with cold coffee undrunk since around 8.20 am
cold coffee might not be your cup of tea cold not hot insipid
