Call me a fool
But I've mourned her into a decade
I'm told every strong emotion
Should in time expire
But when life expires love seems to intensify
So yes
For my friend
I have become a bonfire
With no one to feel my warmth
Especially her
As I burn
I imagine her in the afterlife
Shivering
I guess that's what brings out the pain
I guess that's why I'm still grieving
Knowing she will never warm up to my existence
Well expressed thoughts and feelings, very heartfelt with strong emotions. An insightful creation nicely encapsulated with conviction. Thanks for sharing, Angela.
