Coincidence Poem by Ima Ryma

Coincidence

The life of Lincoln saved by Booth!
If truth, there must be something more.
John Wilkes killed Abraham - the truth.
New Jersey in the Civil War,
Two men at a train station met.
Booth was heading south, Lincoln north.
They encountered, as fate did set.
On the platform, Lincoln fell forth
In front of an oncoming train.
A hand reached out and pulled him back.
Booth did save Lincoln - truth was plain.
Not John nor Abe were at that track.

Relatives of history done,
Edwin, brother, and Robert, son.

I like this, because it gives time a kick in the grass. The truth is only the truth in moments, my guess is like every story, there is always more. Facts change the future, they also dictate the ever changing past
