College Library Poem by Uriah Hamilton

College Library

I wanted to spend
the night with you
in the college library
whispering future plans
but my friends
convinced me to leave.

Strange, how easily
we accept our fates
despite the loneliness
they bring.

This was all a dream
that an angel woke me from
and instructed me to write.

I hope somehow
the girl this is about
will read this poem

though I accepted my fate
a long, long time ago.
