COLOUR OF SPRING
Dreams so colourful
Bright and hot sun's rays
Passing through the cloudless blue
Shielding worlds beyond the shade of pale azure
Punctuated by the purple of nightfall
A swishy carpet of dead leaves
Death that manures the beauty of life
With flame lilies of soothing hope
Even as we wait for the smell of the wet soil
Written beautifully in the orange of sunrise
The zing of mosquitoes not much in the dry, still air
For the stingy littl' fellows can't survive the hot air
Yet somewhere in the forest, life is defying the odds
Auburn shoots, daringly peep though the bark
Even as the sun rains its colourless noon rage, life blossoms regardless!
