Come Back Poem by Kwai Chee Low

Come Back

Rating: 3.8

Our dreams shattered since that fateful day.
Now I can only sit at your bedside,
holding your hands and
whisper in your ears.
Come back.

We shall share sunsets again.
Remember that golden scarlet glow,
over distant mountains and tree tops,
falling shroudlike on birds as
they too, return to their loved ones.

We shall sit through sunrises again.
Touch dewdrops in early dawn and
slide the rainbow bridge after a storm.
Snuggle with me through the enveloping dusk,
while time stands still in that magical moment.

Come back.
