Coming Back To Style Poem by gershon hepner

Coming Back To Style

If you wait long enough, all things come back to style,
the cowboy Gene Autry once said;
I’ll wait for you always because you beguile
the front and the back of my head.

The front is the place where I tend to feel sure
of your everyday thoughts, and your moves
which haunt me whenever I’m seeking a cure
for heartache your presence removes.

The back of my head is the place where I sense
what makes being with you worthwhile;
not your thoughts nor your moves make me feel so intense,
but the je ne sais quoi of your style.
