Compensation Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Compensation

Compensation

For this I
-had to read and
-listen, watch
-for hours

Had to make sure am right
-Sterilised
-took me round
-round and round
-till I fell in corner
-unconscious

She is a senator
-paid by tax
-of people
-therefore she
-must defend
-the people
-regardless of
-gender, skin, race,
-or their age…

But does not…
-she sweeps under rug
-racism
-the plan to murder
-Indian in the child
-and herding children
-in school
-naming it training! ! !

How can you tell me of human?
-freedom?
-and respect?
-does it mean only you and your race?
-what about the so called
-Leilani?
-the Muir…
-and many who were force-sterilised?
-what about their respect and their rights?
-shame on you and your kind! ! !
