Complex Simplicity Poem by Loretta Shively

Complex Simplicity

Carburetor, steering wheel,
Radiator, tires,
Brakes, transmission, battery,
Fuses, lights, and wires,
Horn, accelerator, clutch,
Oil filter, fan,
Torque converter, water pump,
Engine, oil pan,
Muffler, brake pads, rotors, doors,
Trunk, suspension, springs,
Sway bar, lug nuts, tie rods, hood,
Axel, piston rings,
Alternator, windows, wheels,
Windshield wipers, too,
Power steering pump, exhaust,
Washers, not a few,
Fuel and fuel tank, ECM,
Air bags, brake line, seat,
Fuel injectors, nuts and bolts,
Air condition, heat,
On and on the list could go;
Parts that run a car.
When they work together well,
we can travel far!

Irish, Costa Rican, Dane,
German, Japanese,
Gabonese, Egyptian, Pole,
Slovak, Lebanese,
Cuban, Guatemalan, Greek,
Scot, Dominican,
Swede, Iraqi, Yugoslav,
Haitian, Mexican,
Turk, Australian, African,
Finn, Armenian,
Briton, Panamanian,
Argentinian,
English, Ethiopian,
Czech, Canadian,
Guatemalan, Indian,
Swiss, Grenadian,
Zambian, Peruvian,
Serb, Ukrainian,
Russian, Cameroonian,
Croat, Romanian,
On and on the list could go,
Nationalities.
When we work together well,
we can live at ease.
