Colorama Poem by Loretta Shively

Colorama

Red is living. Hot and bright.
Rocking.
Eager.
Daring. Wake, and challenge to
a fight. Red gets senses raring.

Orange is
Optimistic.
Real.
Anxious.
Nippy.
Gaining,
Escalating. Wild at heart.
Orange is power reigning.

Yellow speaks of memories.
Shining. Happy. Grinning.
Yesterday's
Encouragement.
Laughing,
Light
Or
Winning.

Green is calm and peaceful.
Slow.
Giving.
Restful.
Easy.
Ernest.
Neutral, yet with life.
Earth and nature - treesy.

Blue is open. Honest. Cool.
Big and
Large.
Unending.
Earning honor and respect.
Straight and true. Unbending.

Purple speaks of beautiful.
Prayerful.
Understanding.
Royal
Persons.
Love
Embraced. Rich in power
commanding.

Pink is girlish with some dare.
Speaks of childhood
Pleasures.
Innocent.
Nice,
Kind and sweet. Pink
holds lovely treasures.

Brown is strong and manly.
Brave.
Rough.
Original and
Working.
Natural woods and earth:
found on land and island.

Gray is
Ghostly.
Rocky.
Ash.
Yawning bars to prison.
Shady ways and neutral thoughts.
Makes no quick decision.
