Complicated Poem by LeighAnna Williams

Complicated

Throw my fist into your chest and rip what heart you have left out.
All that remains is the selfishness buried deep beneath it.
I wish I could say you were someone of importance but when the curtains
draw close and the lights burn out there's nothing but the darkness
I saw coming when you spoke your name.
Love a title only described for those who are faint of heart.
Pretending it can be something different is nothing new.
I would say I trusted you but even I can't lie about my trust
I live by my honesty.
You were crazy and I knew it thought it was something but I don't believe the stories people would tell.
Never expect what you can see coming.
Expect what you can't see for it's mistakes like these that
get you lost & left hurting.
Only time pain can bruise you
is when you allow it's roots to wrap around you.
Holding my head high because I have pride the size of a lion's heart.
Won't fall back because I know with my strength I will overcome it.
Liars and Misinformers.
Tragedies and False Hopes.
Dreams that never leave the pilliow.
Ambitions that never leave the head.
Passion that never leaves the heart.
Goals that never leave the page.
So lost among the crowd but inside you are dead.
Never Again; Never Again.
