Words jump around the page
Like an alphabetic kangaroo!
They push my pen, invade my mind
They tell me what to do.
They tell their well worn stories
Writing verse and writing prose
Where the stories come from
Only the word knows
They're
............Jumping..............up
and
................Down.
..........................like
their
...........on
............................a trampoline!
Paragraph, verses metre and the spaces in between
I push the pen to try to match my
Deepest contemplation
They go left, I go right!
They just add to my frustration
Sometimes just jumbled letters
Beyond comprehension
Deem to my poetic eye, to
Give vent to celebration, but!
As yet I haven't told them
I Still
control
the
punctuation.
A wonderful poem that resonates with me. Yes, words invade our mind from time to time and fuel our pen to soar. Yet, sometimes words are so elusive and at times they come so suddenly and we are caught unaware. They come in groups that we are confused what words we have choose that best reflect our thoughts.
Words really can be fun, can't they? You should pay Ronnie some royalties, since you got the idea from her!

Cont. Words are sometimes like birds. They come and fly so suddenly that we have to think all over again what words visited our mind. We have to jot them down and put them into memory before they could fly. A well conveyed and entertaining write. Loved reading it.
