It has been almost three months
Since the day you were born.
Your birth was a delightful news
That we all were waiting to embrace.
We were happy to see your face
With your cute subtle smile
After inhaling life with your very first cry.
By the grace of God you were born
You brought the greatest joy
That filled your parents' longing hearts.
We were happy to see your parents smile
As they held you close to their hearts.
Now, it's our turn to hold you in our arms
But we have been holding you in our hearts
Since the days you were in your mother's womb.
As your far away grand parents
We are here for your Baptism
With your uncles and aunts who also came from afar
And many relatives and friends here in California.
We praise and thank God for your well-being.
May you grow in wisdom and faith.
May God keep you and your parents in his grace
May God bless your parents in shining their faith
May the seed of faith grow in you abundantly
And you reach heaven's gate when you finish your life race.

LỜI MỪNG CHÁU NHÂN DỊP NHẬN PHÉP THÁNH TẨY

Ngày nào cháu mới sinh ra
Bây giờ thì đã gần ba tháng dài.
Bao người đợi cháu sinh ra
Tin này vui lắm, họ hàng mừng thay.
Thế rồi ngày cháu sinh ra
Nụ cười nho nhỏ cháu mang chào đời.
Cám ơn Thiên Chúa trên trời
Cháu sinh khỏe đẹp thỏa lòng mẹ cha.
Mẹ cha hạnh phúc cười hoài
Ngày đêm ẵm cháu, áp gần tim nhau.
Bây giờ tới lượt ông bà
Lần đầu ôm cháu, nhưng lòng đã lâu.
Từ ngày cháu tuổi bào thai
Lòng ông bà đã ẵm mang cháu hoài.
Ông bà ở mãi bang xa
Nhân dịp rửa tội, mấy tuần chơi thăm.
Về đây, chú bác bang xa
Ông bà, thân hữu, họ hàng Cali.
Cầu cho cháu lớn thành tài
Công danh, đạo hạnh ơn lành Chúa cho.
Cầu cho cha mẹ làm gương
Sống đời đạo hạnh để soi dẫn đường.
Rồi khi cháu cuối đường đời
Cuộc đua hoàn tất, thiên đường mời vô.
