Contents Of A Message Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Contents Of A Message

Only those who object,
With their sensibilities...
Expose to show themselves upset.
Refuse and ignore,
The contents of a message.
To continue to accuse the messenger.

One who accepts without regret,
To deliver the message.
And done to care less who may protest,
Of a job done to do others had refused.
Because of a fear they may lose,
Their position of a pretentious social status.
Kept among those who choose to pose,
The emptiness of their hollow imitations!

Turning up their noses.
Yet dismissing the cracks,
Where they walk to stumble and fall.
Although had been warned,
Their steps to place may not be as safe.
Or kept as easily to make.
If keeping their beliefs to behold,
Were more prioritized than being observant.
