Continued Existence In Poetry Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Continued Existence In Poetry

Silence of nature paints portraits through its landscapes
as we walk through their intimate realities, eyes skirting
the atmosphere.

Capturing sights not ordinarily seen in the city, blossoms
bursting yellowly from desert trees, wind gently blowing
them from their heights and flittering down to the ground.

Seeming to be yellow shadows lying on earth beneath each
tree, giving an atmosphere of surreal thoughts, taking each
of them, writing their lives into poems.

Allowing their continued existence in the world, if only
in the lines of poetry that people all over the world can
share in.
