and choose selectively
to respond in such a manner
that it adds no bitterness

sometimes it is sent to you as a teaser
excite you to burst out with an anger
fall into a trap and spell some abusive words
and spoil the whole life's work

sometimes, it is spoken in the local dialect
it may not have relation to your acts
but indirectly thrust upon
and hit directly and gone into the mind

so keep silent
and present
when time permits
in a befitting manner

you have no control over the raging mood
the actual meaning of words not really understood
the quick reaction offers no solution
rather it worsens the situation
