Conversion As A Joyous Perception Of God Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

Conversion As A Joyous Perception Of God

Rating: 2.5

All conversion entails
a constant remaking
of the field of consciousness,
an alteration in the self's
attitude to the world.

Conversion is a sudden, intense,
and joyous perception of God
immanent in the universe,
of the divine beauty
and unutterable splendour
of that large life
in which the individual
is immersed, and a new life
to be lived by the self,
in accordance with this
now dominant factor of existence.

tony, this piece describes so well the experience of e.e. cummings in his sonnet that begins, i thank you God for most this amazing day- one of my favorites. and in my experience, what a joy to discover, to realize that God IS(!) all happiness be yours! glen
