Cool Down - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Cool Down - Lincoln Park Zoo

Rating: 5.0

Jamaican iguanas like heat,
And Lizzie is a lizard who
Often is found in a 'hot' seat
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo.
Under a heat lamp she does lay,
Basking in all of the warm glow
Given by artificial ray,
Warming up Lizzie head to toe.
When feeling overheated she
Does open up her mouth real wide,
Causing her body temp to be
Back to comfy for her inside.

An open mouth for Lizzie is
A way to mind her body biz.

I cite your attentive lines: An open mouth for Lizzie is A way to mind her body biz. So cutest! I can imagine Lizzie lying there

To care for Lincoln Zoo is truly expensive business, because the animals that are here, need other tools than provided. Where Lincoln Zoo lies is a cool area, so Lizzie had it too cold
