Corruption Poem by Prem Nizar Hameed

Corruption

Of late,

I met corruption in full suit

at the airport.

I heaved a long sigh and wished it:

"Happy journey,

At last you decided to leave my country"

Corruption stared at me

And replied:

"Don't think

That each and everybody

coming to the airport

could be a traveller"

I became pale,

And asked it:

"Are you waiting for someone? "

It smiled and replied:

"Yes, my family is coming"
