Costly Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Costly

Rating: 4.5

Draped in a canvas of blood
Sun chases me from behind.
Moments of my half life are
Captured in glow of its fire.
Flares go beyond boundary
To remind me my time is out.
Happy time of youth has broken
In to smithereens to be picked up
And kissed at the time of sunset,
Take me or leave me won't give
Me much pain or joy. I am
Waiting for the supine dawn to
Be washed away as a dead leaf,
By the treacherous wind of time.
