Couch Dreams Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Couch Dreams

Rating: 5.0

We both slept on the couch
After a night of boredom
Until the wee hours of the morning
The lights were on
But they did not bother us at all
I wanted you to wake up
And take me to bed
Wrapping yr arms around me
Like a knight's sheild
But no, you were in a heavy sleep
And I wouldn't distrub you
Because you looked so angelic
So, I wrapped the throw on us
And fell back to sleep
Dreaming of a more exciting day
