Cover my eyes, cover my ears, when I see you smile it brings me to tears.
It can't be true, that I'm losing you, what we once had, was too true we knew.
I can't be there, it's too much to bare, your voice though quiet, it brings me despair.
I can't let you fly but your flying goodbye, it's too late to try, you're up there too high.
You'll be in his arms before I am gone, he'll make you smile and laugh with a heart rebuilt strong.
Regret in my heart that I've let us fall apart, the memories of us happy, have been lost in the past, contrast to the last of the pain we suffered, stricken fast.
But the future is closer than the fast fading forgotten album of memories locked away in a bleeding eye fleeting goodbye, and forward we glance, you deserve more than a song and dance of pain and lies, cries, smiles of dying trials we fell against hard…
So cover my ears, cover my eyes, because what you deserve will come at long last, just not from this heart… a selfish fear.

I would like to translate this poem
It has a melodic sound of loss and pain, yes I can see it as a song.
