Cranes Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Cranes

Cranes

Who has guided them since years?
That too without fears
Grooming all over water levels
My state Gujarat in India is flooded with arrivals

No glide path
No fear of accidental death
No fear of hostile of hostile reception
But atmosphere so suitable for new generation

Each and every year they descend in flocks
Lay eggs and remain with cheers
They fly here and there
Go up and come down to settle on ground water here

Some have travelled from Siberia
Some from far eastern area
But no one hunts
It is protected sanctuary for all birds

The fishes are available
With no such hard trouble
They finish with their season
And go back to the destination
