Crashing Poem by Rachel Brewer

Crashing

Rating: 5.0

When my world is crashing all around me,
And the stars are falling from the sky.
I often look all around,
And ask the world, why?

When the darkness takes over,
And a candle cannot light my way.
I think of all the joy there could be,
In my life one day.

So the light is gone and the crashing is unbearable,
But I do not let this get me down.
I keep the same cheeky grin,
And never let my face frown.

I look forward to the day the light returns,
And the day the crashing comes to an end.
But until this day comes around,
I really need you my friend.

I need you through these dark times,
To help me regain the light.
I need you all the time,
Please stay in my sight.

I wouldn’t know what to do if you ever left my side,
Or if God forbid you were taken away from me.
So please be careful until we can be safe,
Just wait, one day you’ll see.
