Attention spans gone west, it seems,
Unlike one's own creative dreams.
Their length and depth, their pertinence
Harsh critics slam with little sense.
One writes to share, hopes insight gleams,
Revealing hidden secrets, themes,
Sore sots ignore, or others, dense,
No wit retain, complain, burst seams,
Or, simplistic, can't see schemes
That may contribute relevance,
Escape fun puns, misrepresent
Spry angles of poetic beams.
