Creative Abstinence Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Creative Abstinence

Rating: 5.0

Crazed by the polish of Polish
Baptized by Wyborowa Vodka
It's only L'Arte...they're only musicians and artists
And I'm only a lost and lonely poet searching for love
Forever absent in an eternal moment of creativity
Ursula and Peter talking about lost virginity
Customers contemplating crushed innocence and dying artistry
In walls of art liberating these lives of stagnation
Talking about everything instead of searching within ourselves
Tonight is spent...drifting home
Sleep beckons...dreams of love await
Sometimes...nightmares around the corner
It's all a dream...it's all a dream
Friends coming...and leaving...

Thank you for your feedback and for choosing that line. It's one of my favorites.
