Crossing The River With Poem by Valia Maistrou

Crossing The River With

Rating: 4.8

(To Aris Lp...)

Recalling your Achaian eyes
so calm that had never been seen
no doubt such a pleasant surprise
with them I gladly wish to sin
(two blue lagoons into she dives)
your arms around my hips and thighs
though heart was set aside, so thin

in such a peaceful Paradise
consider I have never been
while Eros is growing in size
in love affairs never so keen
(my patience has won it as a prize)
distance is what Ι much despise
as pierced with a needle or pin

caressing my imperfection
laid next to your imperfection
both are to make a sweet perfection
our souls when we both awaken
(past fades away while in affection)
remorses had you been taken
as if you were so godforsaken

now is the time to set aside
all black crayons for life's painting
you, male, with such a steamy pride
bright reds and whites on your eyes blink
a wave whose back you wish to ride
a soul pristine and fond of the pink

to be the one you want to cross
the river with, pride and esteem
won't ever make you feel the boss
as if covered with whipped cream
protect us from sorrow and loss
our love shall make all pains to dim...

(Iambic tetrameter)
