Crying - Poem by Brittany Tartaglia

Finally crying
Feels so great
Even if it’s
Something I hate

The thought of love
Makes me cry
Even though
It’s a happy try

The things that make
Me cry so hard
Are the things
With happy parts

In the shower
I burst out in tears
After having
A day of fears

The things you feel
Are not the same
When you’re slowly
Going insane

Listening to music
With my big headphones
Wish I had
My drawing control

All the emotions
Swirling above
My confused head
Trying for love

Now you see
That girl alone
In the cold
Like no one knows

They ignore her
As they pass
The lonely teen
People see as trash

Ruined her life
Are the rumours around
But they don’t know
The reason I drown

I drown for them
The guys I’ve thrown
In the trash
Trying to forget the cold

But here it comes
One big gust of wind
Swooping in
To take my grin

Happiness gone
Forever gone
Now I seek to
Be seen by the crowd

But still they just
Walk by my place
Like no one’s there
With happy grace
