Crystals Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Crystals

Crystals

Had gone there for birthday,
Host arrived flamboyant,
As seen in Swan-Lake!

Fog played, hide, and seek,
Made us dance anxiously.

Fog took me on the stage
To Tchaikovsky's ballet.

Had plans and knowledge
With targets but aimless.

Had to leave for skies,
We spoke heart to heart
It taught me a whole lot.

Told me of what foresaw,
The killer long-dark-nights:
"Leaves will end the falling,
Stand firm, bare trees
Ice-clothed and shining."
Told me of Sasquatch:
"Monstrous, humongous,
And walks on snow, ice! "

Told me of the trunks:
"Many birds will be gone,
Out of sight, groundhogs,
Valleys, heights, crystalize."

Between us, I felt bond,
She told me of her love,
Looking up at the cloud:
"That is where we belong."

I, amused with the scenes,
Sensed the cold of breeze,
Bone wrecking, yet sweet,
Fog took off in a blink!
