Cycle - By Olly Poem by Olly and Molly Tsi

Cycle - By Olly

Bodies lie
In quiet graves
A freshly lain
Joins their lines
A song emanates
From the cold graveyard
Of beauty and life
What was once owned
But is now lost
Festering wounds open
As time passes on
They age beyond ages
And enter The Cycle
Decomposers decompose
Feeders work up the chain
Plants, animals,
Carnivores and omnivores
Until it works back
Energy to sustain
A distant memory
Of a loved one lost
Put to rest in a quiet graveyard
His voice joins the chorus
And a soft hum plays
A song all too sweet
Of loved ones disconnected
Of loneliness and struggle
But minds are put to rest
As their bodies lay
