POEM "DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL" by martin gedge
Daddy's little girl all dressed in sugar pearl
all this fancy dancing in your little wonder world
picnic tea and biscuits a Sesame Street of misfits
shooting stars of golden bars and shiny silver trinkets
housemaid for your hobby for puppy paws and molly
a pillow full of jello and a bib for baby dolly
glitter glow and gloss as sweet as candy floss
a rainbow flower shower in a green of forest moss
heavenly as she sings bouncing on the bedroom springs
a sky so high to fly on by on angel feathered wings
adventures in the deep in the shadows of her sleep
a wrestle with a nestle but her castle is her keep
and like no other one finger paint and play-do fun
a beauty little cutie in the smiles of the sun
precious for the ages to step beyond the cages
a walk into a memory as life is turning pages
the burning of the flame as lips to hold your name
I know that in the future things may never be the same
but still in mind this picture of my princess bell in curl
to never lead my heart astray your daddy's little girl...
