Daffodils (Cavatina) Poem by Gert Strydom

Daffodils (Cavatina)

Somewhat solitary some flowers grew in
a little knot,
looking gay and they were ever changing,
I found a lot,
they did toss, did in the stormy wind reel
where other sorts rot,
they grew to a kind of sheer perfection,
glorious waving in each direction.
