Daisies Poem by Mamta Agarwal

Daisies

Rating: 5.0

I went to the florist,
And asked for long lasting flowers.
He pulled out a bunch
And proudly said just arrived from
Bangalore.

I couldn’t believe what I saw,
Dainty petals colour of new born baby’s cheeks,
And inside lime green.

I picked the whole lot
And put them in a pot,
Every time I pass
I just have to pause.

They are still fresh after a week
As promised,
The colour scheme truly epitomises
The great artist at work.
I silently pay my
Obeisance.

What a captivating lovely poem. You paint the picture so well with your words that I can almost see these lovely flowers. Reading your poem was like receiving a bouquet. Thank you.
