Dance Sweetie Poem by Lilly Rose

Dance Sweetie

Dance Sweetie,
under the rain.
For I shall always be
but a breath away.
Let the water cascade
its glory around us.
Suspended in this
motionless love,
I shall hold you
in my arms until
The last grain falls
from the hourglass.

Dance Sweetie,
under the rain.
Maybe then we will
smile at our pain.
Quit hiding behind
our title of friendship.
We will dare to desire
that which is beyond reach.
Take my hand,
and hold it tight,
For this is going
to be our longest night.

Dance Sweetie,
under the rain.
The droplets know
nothing of your pain.
