Dark Passenger Poem by Robert Alyea

Dark Passenger

A shadow within a shadow
So dark I'll try to explain
Effects of a colored bow
Belonging to light and rain

This shadow within a shadow
Inevitably you'll try escaping
The paradox you created
Since a shadow's shadow is shaping

Once it has taken hold
The sight is something to behold
Shadow has eaten it's shadow
You've put an end to this paradox
Now tears obstruct the vision of you in a box
