The Wrong Way Poem by Robert Alyea

The Wrong Way

Searching for someone to blame,
I've been searching all my life,
Maybe when I find them,
I will end my aching strife.

When I discover who is at fault,
Maybe the stress will be less,
My searching can't be contained,
This burden has made a mess.

The bigger picture was out of sight,
I was headed the wrong way,
My searching led me to a mirror,
I have found the one to blame.

The end of my strife,
Less dread, more livin.
The beginning of,
The need to be forgiven.
