In A Perfect World Poem by Robert Alyea

In A Perfect World

A zelig who doesn't fit in
A loner with too many friends
A wolf who's only been bitten
Blind with prescription lens

An ocean with no fish in its depth
A pirate who shares his gold
A dead man who has never slept
Young men who are very old

You see the point that's vital
Ignorance clouds your head
Don't judge a book by its title
Let's put that thought to bed
