Darkness Come Poem by soren Barrett

Darkness Come

Darkness come to sooth my eyes
Cover me with the night
a warm blanket sheltering me from fear's skies,
cooling passion's burning blight

Buried in the tomb of forgetfulness
Washed in waters of fantasy
Cleansed in the fires of regretful stress
Left clothed so scantily

Dress me with cobwebs spun of hope
A leprous fetus teething
A tourniquet of barbwire, strands of soap
Death breathing

Never lose hope and go on living this life as it comes. Beautiful ink. Thanks.
