Darling Poem by Mark Heathcote

Darling

I-too, don't want to wither like a rose
or deflate like a helium balloon
that's why I'm simply over the moon
that's why I again wish to disclose.

On this day and every Valentine's day
that I love the ground you walk on
you are amazing in-every-way
you've got the elegance and beauty of a swan.

And-have-also the same ageless longings
to discover a trustworthy mate for life
you are a morning star that is ever shadeless
in you, I have found a rare beauty, divine.

Comely as a red, red rose that never withers on the vine
may you be mine today and every Valentine's?
